Welcome to Cherry Street Baptist Church! Whether you’ve been part of this family for years or you’re joining us for the very first time today, we’re truly glad you’re here. God is at work among us in ways that remind us just how good and faithful He is, and it’s a joy to gather together and celebrate that. Our prayer is that today’s service will be a time of real connection — with the Lord through worship and with the people sitting around you through genuine fellowship. Scotty Inman Next Sunday, August 30

It’s almost here! Next Sunday, August 30, we’re thrilled to welcome award-winning songwriter and recording artist Scotty Inman for a special morning of worship you won’t want to miss. Scotty’s music has touched people across the country, and we can’t wait to gather as a church family for a service filled with powerful, moving worship through song. This is the perfect Sunday to bring your family and invite your family, friends and neighbors for this special day! Come expecting God to move in a special way as we lift our voices together.

Truth Trackers Kicks Off This Wednesday Night!

Truth Trackers, our Wednesday night kids’ discipleship program, launches this Wednesday, August 26, and we can’t wait for a great year! Under the leadership of our new director, Matt Brown, kids will dig into God’s Word through Bible study, Scripture memory, and hands-on fun designed to help their faith come alive. If you haven’t registered your kids yet, there’s still time . You can stop by the Info Hub or register through Realm Connect before Wednesday night. And if you’re able to serve, join us for a Truth Trackers volunteers meeting this Sunday evening after church. We would love to have you on the team!

Neighbors & Nations Missions Emphasis – September 13-27

Our annual missions emphasis returns this year with the theme “Neighbors & Nations,” reminding us that Christ calls us to be witnesses both close to home and to the ends of the earth — “in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth” (Acts 1:8). Over three weeks, we’ll welcome special guests and gather for meaningful events, including a Sunday evening at the Pavilion on September 13, a prayer breakfast on September 19, and a special dinner on September 27. Mark your calendars now — you won’t want to miss a single week!

A “Labor” of Love – Sunday, September 6

As our country pauses for Labor Day weekend, we want to take a moment to celebrate a different kind of labor — the faithful, often unseen work of the volunteers who make Cherry Street Baptist Church run week after week. From our Sunday School teachers to our greeters, nursery workers, tech crew, and so many others, we are grateful for hands and hearts that labor out of love for Christ and His church. Scripture reminds us, “And whatsoever ye do, do it heartily, as to the Lord, and not unto men” (Colossians 3:23). On this special Sunday, join us in saying a heartfelt thank you to those who serve!

Back to School – Pray for Our Teachers & Kids

School is back in session this week, and we want to encourage our church family to be praying — for our students as they settle into new classrooms and routines, and for teachers and school staff who pour into them every day. Pray for safety, for wisdom, for good friendships, and for hearts open to the Lord in a new school year. Pray too for opportunities for our kids and teachers to be a light for Christ among their classmates and coworkers.

GriefShare Begins August 27

If you’ve lost a loved one, you don’t have to walk through grief alone. GriefShare, a 13-week support group for those grieving the death of a family member or friend, begins Thursday, August 27. Each session combines a video seminar featuring experts and real stories of loss with small group discussion in a caring, confidential environment. Whether your loss is recent or you’re still processing grief from years ago, there’s a place for you here. For more information or to register, contact the church office.

To help you stay better informed, the Info Hub can function as an app on your smartphone’s home screen. To find instructions for both iPhones and Android phones, go to the Info Hub at mycsbc.com/info and choose “Our Apps.” Help is available at the Info Hub in the lobby.

For Android phones, follow these steps:

1) Open Chrome; 2) Navigate to mycsbc.com/info; 3) Tap the menu icon (the 3 dots in upper right-hand corner); 4) Tap “Add to Home screen”; 5) Change the name to “CSBC Info Hub” and choose “add” and it will appear on your home.

For iPhones, follow these steps:

1) Open Safari; 2) enter mycsbc.com/info and tap “Go”; 3) Tap the “Share” button on the bottom of the page (square box with up arrow); 4) scroll down until you see “Add to Home Screen” and tap on it; 5) The Add to Home Screen dialog box will appear; edit it to say “CSBC Info Hub”; 6) Confirm it, and click Add. Safari will close automatically, and you will be taken to where the icon is located on your iPhone’s or iPad’s home screen.

Through the mail – our offering envelopes are postage paid – meaning you can drop your offering in the mail without a stamp. If you would like us to send you envelopes to use during this season, just call the church office and we will be happy to put them in the mail to you asap.

Our Realm Connect App allows us to send out announcements electronically as needed, rather than waiting for Sunday to publish them in the bulletin.
