Welcome to Cherry Street Baptist Church! Whether you’ve called this church family home for years or you’re joining us for the first time today, we’re so glad you’re here. God continues to move among us in ways that stir our hearts with gratitude, and it’s a privilege to come together in worship this morning. Scotty Inman – Welcome Him Today!

Today’s the day! We’re honored to welcome songwriter and recording artist Scotty Inman this morning for a special time of worship through song. Scotty’s music has encouraged and blessed believers across the country, and we’re expecting a rich, meaningful service as the Lord speaks to us in song. If you brought a friend or family member with you today, thank you — and if you’re a first-time guest, we’re especially glad you chose to be here on this particular Sunday! Get ready for a morning of powerful worship as we focus our hearts on the Lord.

Family Service: Music Night and Adam Cottrell

Tonight will be a special Family Service as we will hear from a number of our musicians for an evening of worship. Then we will hear from our own Adam Cottrell as he opens the Word for us tonight. The Cottrells are making a transition to a new ministry, and we are excited to hear about that this evening. Don’t miss it!

A “Labor” of Love – Next Sunday, September 6

Labor Day weekend is almost here, and next Sunday, September 6, we’re taking time to celebrate a different kind of labor — the faithful, often unseen work of the volunteers who make Cherry Street Baptist Church run week after week. From our Sunday School teachers to our greeters, nursery workers, tech crew, and so many more, we’re grateful for hands and hearts that labor out of love for Christ and His church. As Scripture reminds us, “And whatsoever ye do, do it heartily, as to the Lord, and not unto men” (Colossians 3:23). Join us next Sunday as we say thank you!

Neighbors & Nations Missions Emphasis – September 13-27

It’s getting closer! In just three weeks, our annual missions emphasis begins with the theme “Neighbors & Nations,” reminding us that Christ calls us to be His witnesses both close to home and around the world — “in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth” (Acts 1:8). Over three weeks we’ll welcome special guests and gather for meaningful events, including a Sunday evening at the Pavilion on September 13, a prayer breakfast on September 19, and a special dinner on September 27. Start making plans now — you won’t want to miss this!

Truth Trackers Off to a Great Start

What a great first Wednesday night for Truth Trackers! Our kids had a blast diving into God’s Word, and we’re so thankful for the leadership of our new director, Matt Brown, as this year gets underway. If your kids haven’t joined us yet, there’s still time — Truth Trackers meets every Wednesday night and is a wonderful place for children to grow in their faith through Bible study, Scripture memory, and hands-on fun. Bring your kids this Wednesday and see what all the excitement is about! You can register anytime through Realm Connect or at the Info Hub.

To help you stay better informed, the Info Hub can function as an app on your smartphone’s home screen. To find instructions for both iPhones and Android phones, go to the Info Hub at mycsbc.com/info and choose “Our Apps.” Help is available at the Info Hub in the lobby.

For Android phones, follow these steps:

1) Open Chrome; 2) Navigate to mycsbc.com/info; 3) Tap the menu icon (the 3 dots in upper right-hand corner); 4) Tap “Add to Home screen”; 5) Change the name to “CSBC Info Hub” and choose “add” and it will appear on your home.

For iPhones, follow these steps:

1) Open Safari; 2) enter mycsbc.com/info and tap “Go”; 3) Tap the “Share” button on the bottom of the page (square box with up arrow); 4) scroll down until you see “Add to Home Screen” and tap on it; 5) The Add to Home Screen dialog box will appear; edit it to say “CSBC Info Hub”; 6) Confirm it, and click Add. Safari will close automatically, and you will be taken to where the icon is located on your iPhone’s or iPad’s home screen.

Through the mail – our offering envelopes are postage paid – meaning you can drop your offering in the mail without a stamp. If you would like us to send you envelopes to use during this season, just call the church office and we will be happy to put them in the mail to you asap.

Our Realm Connect App allows us to send out announcements electronically as needed, rather than waiting for Sunday to publish them in the bulletin.
