Welcome to CSBC!

Welcome to Cherry Street Baptist Church! We’re glad you’re here this Labor Day weekend, whether you’re settling in for a long-planned holiday or just grateful for a slower morning before the week ahead. As many take time this weekend to rest from their labors, we want today to be a meaningful pause as well—a chance to worship, reconnect with our church family, and be reminded of who we’re really working for. Whether this is your first Sunday with us or you’ve been part of CSBC for years, we’re thankful you’ve chosen to spend part of your holiday weekend here with us. Please let us know you are here by filling out our digital guest card. We pray that God will bless you this weekend!
-Pastor Dennis Jennings
Today is Labor of Love Sunday

We’re calling it Labor of Love Sunday because we want this holiday weekend to mean something more than a day off—it’s a day to say thank you. Cherry Street runs on the quiet faithfulness of volunteers: nursery workers, children’s and youth leaders, Sunday School teachers and workers, Truth Trackers and Discipled Veterans workers, our music ministry volunteers, Outreach and hospitality teams and those who serve in the kitchen, our Safety Response Team, those who care for our church grounds, on janitorial duty, or on maintenance projects. And if we haven’t named your particular corner of service, please know we see you and value your labor as well. Today, every person here will receive a card as a simple to show gratitude to and pray for those who serve our church family—seen and unseen. Thank you for laboring in love.
A Different Rhythm This Week

Because of the holiday weekend, our schedule looks a little different this week. There will be no Family Service tonight and no Outreach tomorrow evening. Instead, we’re asking as many of you as possible to join us Thursday or Saturday morning at 10:00 as we go out to reach others in our community. We’ll be back to our normal rhythm on Wednesday night, with midweek Bible study, Discipled Veterans, Truth Trackers, and Youth all meeting as usual. Thank you for your flexibility this week, and we hope to see you out reaching our neighbors on Thursday or Saturday!
Neighbors & Nations Missions Emphasis – September 13-27

It’s almost here! Next Sunday, September 13, our annual missions emphasis kicks off with the theme “Neighbors & Nations,” reminding us that Christ calls us to be His witnesses both close to home and around the world — “in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth” (Acts 1:8). We’re excited to welcome missionary Richie Orrick, from Buckley, Wales, who will be speaking for us next Sunday morning. Then, on Sunday evening, don’t miss our kickoff evening at the Pavilion. Join us for our prayer breakfast on September 19, and a special dinner on September 27. Mark your calendars and make plans now — you won’t want to miss a single week!
