Welcome to CSBC!

Welcome to Cherry Street Baptist Church! We’re grateful you’ve joined us this morning, whether you’ve been part of our church family for years or you’re worshiping with us for the very first time. God is at work among us, and we believe He has brought you here today for a reason. As we open His Word, lift our voices in worship, and fellowship together, we pray you sense His presence and His love for you in a fresh way this morning. Neighbors & Nations Missions Emphasis Begins

Today is the beginning of our “Neighbors & Nations” missions emphasis, running through September 27. We’ll be reminded that the Great Commission calls us to reach both our own community and the ends of the earth for Christ. We’ll hear from missionaries God has sent out from CSBC, gather for a time of prayer, and enjoy some fellowship along the way. As we get started today, get ready to be encouraged, challenged, and reminded of the part you play in God’s mission — right here at home and around the world.

Welcome Missionary Richie Orrick

This morning we’re honored to welcome missionary Richie Orrick, sent out from CSBC and serving in Buckley, Wales. Richie will be sharing with us during our service, along with an update on the work God is doing among the Welsh people. He and his wife, Missy, along with their children, Briton and Bella, are grateful representatives of our church family on the mission field. Please give them a warm welcome and take a moment to greet them if you get the chance today!

Missions Prayer Breakfast, Saturday, September 19

Join us Saturday, September 19 at 9:00 AM in the Fellowship Hall for our Missions Prayer Breakfast. We’ll enjoy breakfast together and spend focused time praying for missionaries and the nations they serve. Suggested cost is $3 per person, but please don’t let that keep you away — we simply want you there! Sign up on Realm Connect, at the Info Hub online, or at the Info Hub in the lobby.

Missions Night at the Pavillion – Tonight!

Our missions emphasis continues tonight out at the Pavilion! Bring the family and join us for good food, fellowship, and ice-cold watermelon under the stars. It’s a great low-key way to keep learning about what God is doing among the nations while enjoying time together as a church family. Come hungry and come ready to connect with fellow believers and the missionaries in our midst!

Coming the Next Two Sundays

Our “Neighbors & Nations” emphasis continues over the next two Sundays. Next Sunday, September 20, we’ll welcome missionary Jeremy Lynn, serving in Ethiopia. Then on September 27, we’ll close out our missions emphasis with missionary Ben Metzger, who serves in Argentina. Don’t miss either Sunday as we hear firsthand how God is working among the nations!

To find instructions for both iPhones and Android phones, go to the Info Hub at mycsbc.com/info and choose “Our Apps.” Help is available at the Info Hub in the lobby.

For Android phones, follow these steps:

1) Open Chrome; 2) Navigate to mycsbc.com/info; 3) Tap the menu icon (the 3 dots in upper right-hand corner); 4) Tap “Add to Home screen”; 5) Change the name to “CSBC Info Hub” and choose “add” and it will appear on your home.

For iPhones, follow these steps:

1) Open Safari; 2) enter mycsbc.com/info and tap “Go”; 3) Tap the “Share” button on the bottom of the page (square box with up arrow); 4) scroll down until you see “Add to Home Screen” and tap on it; 5) The Add to Home Screen dialog box will appear; edit it to say “CSBC Info Hub”; 6) Confirm it, and click Add. Safari will close automatically, and you will be taken to where the icon is located on your iPhone’s or iPad’s home screen.

Through the mail – our offering envelopes are postage paid – meaning you can drop your offering in the mail without a stamp. If you would like us to send you envelopes to use during this season, just call the church office and we will be happy to put them in the mail to you asap.
