Welcome to CSBC!

Welcome to Cherry Street Baptist Church! We’re so glad you’re here this morning. Whether this is your first Sunday with us or you’ve called this church home for years, we want you to know you’re welcome here. God has been faithful to bring people together in this place, and we believe today is no different. As we sing, pray, and dig into Scripture together, our hope is that you’ll walk away encouraged, challenged, and reminded that you’re loved by God and by this church family. Please let us know you are here by filling out our digital guest card. We pray that God will bless you this weekend!

Neighbors & Nations Missions Emphasis Continues

We’re entering our second week of our “Neighbors & Nations” missions emphasis, and already we’ve seen God at work through the stories shared by our missionaries. This week, we invite you to keep praying for the missionaries themselves, for the people and places they serve, and for open eyes to see how God might be calling you to join in His mission, whether across the street or across the world. Keep an eye out for more opportunities to hear, pray, and give as we continue through September 27.

Welcome Missionaries Jeremy & Karissa Lynn

This morning we’re honored to welcome missionaries Jeremy and Karissa Lynn, serving in Ethiopia. Jeremy will be bringing God’s Word to us during our service this morning, and this evening they’ll share more about the work God is doing on the field. Many of you know them already as the parents of our own missions intern, Jakob Lynn. We are so encouraged hearing what God is doing through their faithful service in Ethiopia. Please give them a warm welcome and take a moment to greet them if you get the chance today!

Next Sunday – The Metzgers & Faith Promise

Next Sunday, September 27, we’ll close out our “Neighbors & Nations” missions emphasis with missionary Ben Metzger, who serves in Argentina. Ben will share about the work God is doing among the Argentine people and what it looks like to carry the gospel to the nations. This Sunday is also our Faith Promise Commitment Sunday, when we’ll have the opportunity to prayerfully commit to supporting missions both those God has sent out from Cherry Street and the many others we partner with around the world in the year ahead. Don’t miss this final Sunday as we wrap up our emphasis and consider what part God is calling you to play in His mission, near and far.

Take Flight with a Sent Teams Dinner

Join us for a special final-night dinner as we celebrate our “Neighbors & Nations” missions emphasis together! We’ll be taking a closer look at our Sent Teams ministry and exploring practical ways you can actively support and engage with our very own sent missionaries. The dinner is free, but signing up in advance helps us prepare so be sure to let us know you’re coming! We can’t wait to “take flight” together as we consider what it looks like to be part of God’s mission right alongside those He’s sent out from Cherry Street.

Trunk or Treat

Mark your calendars for Trunk or Treat, happening Saturday, October 31, from 4–6PM! This is one of our most incredible outreach events of the year, and we can’t do it without you. We need volunteers to host trunks, help with setup, and serve in a variety of other ways to make this outreach a success. If you’re interested in getting involved, see Trisa Wetzel or Jason Lange to sign up. Let’s come together to make this a fun, memorable, and Christ-centered night for our community!
