Welcome to CSBC!

Welcome to Cherry Street Baptist Church! There’s a little crispness in the morning air, and the first leaves are beginning to turn. It’s hard not to see God’s handiwork in this season. We’re so glad you’re here today. If you’ve been part of our church family for years, it’s good to be together again. If this is your first visit, we’re honored you chose to worship with us. Our prayer is that you’ll sense God’s presence, feel the warmth of this family, and leave encouraged. “The heavens declare the glory of God; and the firmament sheweth his handywork” (Psalm 19:1). It’s 9:38 Sunday: Pray for Laborers

Today is “9:38 Sunday,” named for Matthew 9:38, where Jesus said, “Pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that he will send forth labourers into his harvest.” Today we join BBFI Missions Director Jon Konnerup, and churches across the country and around the world, in praying for missionaries to be called and sent to those who have never heard the name of the Lord Jesus Christ. Jesus didn’t ask us to start with a program. He told us to start with prayer. Take a moment today to ask the Lord of the harvest to raise up laborers.

Faith Promise: A Great Start!

We have reason to rejoice! The “first blush” of Faith Promise commitment cards received last Sunday totaled $289,828. That is more than $28,000 above last year’s first Sunday, an increase of about ten percent in our investment in global missions. Thank you for your generosity and your heart for the lost! There is still time to make your commitment. Faith Promise Cards are available in Sunday School or at the Info Hub, and you can drop your completed card in the offering boxes. Prayerfully ask the Lord what He would have you give, then step out in faith!

Thank You, Sent Teams!

What a great dinner we enjoyed last Sunday evening! A big thank you to Tara McMurphy, our Sent Teams coordinator, who pulled together a wonderful team and made it a well-attended event. Sent Teams Ministry is how we love and support the 15 families CSBC has sent out, and we’d love to see every team fully staffed. We still need a few more people to fill out the team for each family. It’s a low-commitment, high-impact way to make a real difference for a missionary. Click the button below to sign up, or ask for more details.

Trunk or Treat: Help Us Reach 55!

It’s only the first Sunday of October, and we already have 39 of the 55 vehicles we need for Trunk or Treat! Thank you to everyone who has signed up. This is one of the best opportunities of the year to meet our neighbors and share the Gospel with families in our community. Join us Saturday, October 31, from 4 to 6 PM. Do you have a vehicle you can decorate? We need 16 more! Contact Trisa Wetzel or Jason Lange, or stop by the Info Hub to sign up.

The Info Hub

The Info Hub online provides our church family a centralized place to find information about any event, activity or ministry here at CSBC. To help you stay better informed, the Info Hub can function as an app on your smartphone’s home screen. To find instructions for both iPhones and Android phones, go to the Info Hub at mycsbc.com/info and choose “Our Apps.” Help is available at the Info Hub in the lobby.

For Android phones, follow these steps:

1) Open Chrome; 2) Navigate to mycsbc.com/info; 3) Tap the menu icon (the 3 dots in upper right-hand corner); 4) Tap “Add to Home screen”; 5) Change the name to “CSBC Info Hub” and choose “add” and it will appear on your home.

For iPhones, follow these steps:

1) Open Safari; 2) enter mycsbc.com/info and tap “Go”; 3) Tap the “Share” button on the bottom of the page (square box with up arrow); 4) scroll down until you see “Add to Home Screen” and tap on it; 5) The Add to Home Screen dialog box will appear; edit it to say “CSBC Info Hub”; 6) Confirm it, and click Add. Safari will close automatically, and you will be taken to where the icon is located on your iPhone’s or iPad’s home screen.

Through the mail – our offering envelopes are postage paid – meaning you can drop your offering in the mail without a stamp. If you would like us to send you envelopes to use during this season, just call the church office and we will be happy to put them in the mail to you asap.

Realm Connect – Our Church App

Our Realm Connect App allows us to send out announcements electronically as needed, rather than waiting for Sunday to publish them in the bulletin. The Connect App also allows you to be faithful with your giving. Realm Connect allows us to do many things more efficiently and effectively, like managing events, group attendance and communications and so much more!
