What is Christmas All About?

I want to know more

December 5-26

Christmas is a special time of year for everyone. Most people are flooded with warm memories of childhood, family and friends. Sadly for many, Christmas is driven by advertising – the season for presents and hollow references to decorations and traditions.

At Cherry Street Baptist Church, we are intentional about celebrating what Christmas is really all about – the birth of Jesus Christ. It’s about God loving us so much that He chose to come in human flesh, born to die for our sins. Christmas is truly all about Jesus.

Bring your family and friends and join us at CSBC as we celebrate the birth of our Savior, and keep your Christmas all about JESUS!

Christmas Musical

Sunday morning, December 12, our music and media ministry will present “Christmas Changes Everything.” This exciting and heartwarming musical will show us how the birth of Jesus changed history forever. The night Christ was born, God initiated and put into motion His plan to make a way so we could know peace and feel God's love. Jesus’ coming changes our desires, our direction, and our destiny. He has promised to change us and bless us throughout our lives.

December 19

The Sunday before Christmas is filled with great music and singing, all pointing us to the baby born in Bethlehem who is the King of Kings and Lord of Lords. We will center our hearts and minds of the true meaning for the last few days in the run up to Christmas day.

Bring the whole family!

Expect the unexpected! The 6 p.m. Family service on the Sunday evening before Christmas is a special time of great fun filled with music, skits and laughter! It’s sort of an “exhale” from the busyness of the holiday rush. Our special guests will be the Allen family. There will be a wheelbarrow full of candy for the kids!

The Allens

The Allens have been thrilling audiences worldwide with their unique blend of family harmony and energizing creativity for more than two decades.

Begin your family Christmas celebrations focused on the real meaning of the holiday at CSBC’s annual Christmas Eve service. We read the Christmas story together, sing Christmas carols and songs and focus our hearts on who Jesus is and why He came. Join us for this very special service at 6 p.m.
