This Week at CSBC:
What A Week!
Last Sunday we saw God work in amazing ways! Salvation decisions, baptisms, and families added to our church – we give God the praise and glory for it all! Then we experienced the sorrow of two soldiers of the Lord – Henry Mantonya and George Quigley – being promoted to heaven at the beginning of the week. Our hearts are broken for the families of these two godly men. Thanks to so many in our church family who helped provide meals for them. Please continue to pray for these families.
Welcome Back Lewis & Karen McClendon Sunday
Sunday morning, we will welcome back Lewis and Karen McClendon to CSBC. The McClendons were part of our church family after his retirement from pastoring in California. Lewis is now working with the missionary efforts of the Baptist Church Ministry Network. It is safe to say that Lewis is one of the favorite preachers of our church family. Listen carefully to the Word of God and ask the Lord speak to your heart!
Watermelon & Fellowship
After church Sunday evening we will enjoy some ice cold watermelon and great fellowship together! You don’t need to bring a thing!Join us for one of our great summertime treats!
KidSpot (our indoor playground and the new “Welcome Center” for our Children’s Ministry) is opening doors to new families. Each week new families are bringing their children, giving us an opportunity to reach them with the Gospel. If you would like to be a part of making a difference in reaching families, we need volunteers to help during KidSpot hours. If you would like more information about this ministry opportunity, contact our Children’s Ministry Coordinator, Emma DaShiell in the church office. Check our website or the CSBC Kids Facebook page for KidSpot times.
VBS Countdown: One Week! (And Don’t Forget The Cookies)
If you haven’t already done so, it’s time to get all our children and young people, 3 years old through High School, registered for Vacation Bible School, which begins a week from tomorrow, on Monday, July 29. If you would like to help with the hundreds of kids who will have a part, please circle the “V” on a connection card and turn it in during the offering today, or contact Emma DaShiell, our Children’s Ministry Coordinator and VBS director in the church office. You can also help by bringing packages of cookies for the VBS week. Please begin to pray daily that God will do great things during this week!
