Back To School Sunday Next Week

Most of our children, youth and young adults return to their respective schools this week. We will celebrate them and pray for them next Sunday on a special “Back to School Sunday” here at CSBC. There will be a gift for those heading back to school and encouragement for their parents, grandparents, and families as well.
Teachers and Workers Meeting This Sunday, August 21

Before our Family Service this evening our Sunday School teachers and care group leaders will be meeting for a time of training at 4:53 p.m. We will be talking about new tools available for our teachers, new opportunities, and exciting plans for the fall. We are asking every teacher and care group leader to make this meeting a priority.
Awana and Awana Readers Off To A Great Start

We were so excited to see a great group of children in our new year of Awana and new Awana Readers ministries last week. Awana is our Wednesday evening ministry that provides Bible-based discipleship and evangelism for children through 5th Grade. Awana is designed for kids to learn God’s Word, and Awana Readers is a one-on-one “learn to read” program that will start with where the child is and help strengthen both their reading and comprehension which impacts directly their ability to learn God’s Word. Awana Readers begins thirty minutes before Awana at 5:45. Afterward, the children move directly into Awana at 6:15. Registration is available at www.mycsbc.com/kids. If you would like to help with Awana Readers, see our Awana Commander, Jake Severs or contact the church office.
Calling All Photographers

If you enjoy taking pictures, whether you are an Instagram Amateur or Photoshop Professional, we need your help to update pictures for our website. If you are interested, there is an informational meeting, August 28, after the evening service in the choir room.
September Is Sunday School Realignment Month

Our Sunday School is the primary discipleship ministry of our church. We are on a nine-year plan which covers every book of the Bible! We have many great classes in adult departments made up of teachers and communities of people who love the Lord, encourage one another, and expect God to work in and through them each week. We know that occasionally circumstances change and some people would like to try a different class. We also know that sometimes it is hard for new people to “break in” to a class that has been around a long time. Whether you have never tried one of our adult classes or are thinking about trying another, we want you to know that September is a special month to make that happen!
Christmas Choir Rehearsals Begin Soon

Christmas choir rehearsals will begin in just a few weeks. Use the gifts that God has given you to sing for Him in our wonderful choir. Text “Choir” to the church phone number or contact Micah Young if you are interested in being a part of this exciting ministry of CSBC.
