Welcome, we hope you find the information on our website and this digital bulletin helpful in learning all that is coming up at Cherry Street Baptist Church! We hope you choose to worship with us Sunday. Whether you are a first-time guest, returning visitor, regular attender or a member, we want you to know we are glad you are here. It is my prayer that God will speak to each of our hearts through every lesson, the music and the preaching of His Word on Sunday. If you are a guest with us, please let us know you are here by filling out our digital guest card. We pray that God will bless you this weekend!

Sunday School Discipleship

Every believer needs to grow in their faith continuously in their life’s journey to heaven. This process of growth is called “discipleship.” Here at CSBC, we are committed to discipleship in many different ministries, like Next Steps, Awana and Youth LIFE on Wednesdays. But our Sunday School classes serve as the primary discipleship ministry of our church. In these Sunday morning Bible studies, we are committed to help you grow through a nine-year plan which covers every book of the Bible. The goal of the teaching is to help you understand and apply the truths of God’s Word in every area of your life!

September Is Sunday School Realignment Month

Our adult classes are made up of teachers and communities of people who love the Lord, encourage one another, and expect God to work in and through them each week. Occasionally, life circumstances change, or someone would simply like to try a different class. We also know that sometimes it is hard for new people to “break in” to a class that has been around a long time. Whether you have never tried one of our adult classes or are thinking about trying another, we want you to know that September is a special month to make that happen! Check the inside panel of the bulletin for list of classes.

Missions Conference September 25 – October 2

Mark your calendar for our annual global missions emphasis coming just three weeks from today. Our conference theme is “Living Water For A Thirsty World.” There will be special services Sunday –Wednesday. There will be dinners available Monday through Wednesday evenings, and a youth event on Friday night. Saturday’s Missions Barbecue will include BBQ and dessert competitions, and special music from the Farnum Family.

Awana and Awana Readers

Awana is designed for kids to learn God’s Word, and Awana Readers is a one-on-one “learn to read” program that is designed to help strengthen both reading and comprehension – directly impacting the child’s ability to learn God’s Word. Awana Readers begins before Awana at 5:45 then those children move directly into Awana at 6:15 each Wednesday evening.

New Faith@Home Resources

Last week we introduced new resources for parents and grandparents available in our Faith@Home Center in the north lobby. These included fresh ideas for encouraging your kids, communicating with your children and discipling them in God’s Word. We have a limited number of devotional books for families with kids as well. Pick up these helpful resources to use to continue to strengthen the faith of those in your home!

This Week’s Schedule Changes

There will be no Sunday evening Family Service tonight, nor GROW Outreach tomorrow evening. The church offices will be closed on Monday. We will resume our regular schedule of services on Wednesday evening.

Looking Ahead

  • GriefShare: Grief Support Ministry, Thursdays at 6PM
  • Adams Class Progressive Dinner, Friday, September 9, 6PM
  • Young Class Games & Goodies, Friday, September 9, 6 PM
  • Creative Relationship Building In Your Class Teacher Training, September 10, 8:30 a.m.

Thank You For Your Faithful Giving

We want to encourage everyone to be faithful with their tithes and offerings.

You can give:

By using dropping your offering envelopes into the offering boxes in the back of the auditorium and on the walls in the lobby

Through the website at mycsbc.com

On the Realm Connect app

Through the mail – our offering envelopes are postage paid – meaning you can drop your offering in the mail without a stamp. If you would like us to send you envelopes to use during this season, just call the church office and we will be happy to put them in the mail to you asap.

Thank you so much for your faithfulness in giving to the Lord

Realm Connect – Our Church App

Our Realm Connect App allows us to send out announcements electronically as needed, rather than waiting for Sunday to publish them in the bulletin. The Connect App also allows you to be faithful with your giving. Realm Connect allows us to do many things more efficiently and effectively, like managing events, group attendance and communications and so much more! If you don’t have the Realm Connect app, send an email to Info@mycsbc.com We will send a link to the Realm Connect app.
